Communication with Air Force One has been lost! Somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean, POTUS is flying blind with no comms in or out. But that's not half the problem...


Someone has also initiated the launch sequence for the United States' nuclear arsenal!! Could it be a government insider, a disgruntled nation state, or maybe even a terrorist organisation? You've got 30 minutes to avert nuclear Armageddon.


And for the first time at Escape This, not only will you be racing against time, but racing against each other, if you so choose! Have a friendly rivalry or dispute that needs resolving? Want to prove to your friends who is the better escaper? The President's Briefcase can be played simultaneously across two identical rooms in which your group will be split into two teams. Each team will encounter the same series of puzzles that will challenge you physically, mentally and visually... but which team will be the first to beat The President's Briefcase?!

Honestly had such fun! It was challenging but, going with friends makes it so much better. I liked that you can just go with people you know. I know at other places they make you up into other groups to keep numbers up. This was a perfect pre dinner and celebration activity. Would do it again.

    The President's Briefcase is located in our Manly Beach venue! And, as our our first mobile escape challenge, meaning we can bring it to you anywhere in the Sydney metro area! In our CIA van, with a Secret Service agents in tow, we can turn YOUR space into an escape room.

    The President's Briefcase has a difficulty rating of 7 out of 10. Bring on the challenge! Learn more about our difficulty levels here.

  • 🚸 Is The President's Briefcase Escape Room suitable for children?

    Absolutely! Because we can vary The President's Briefcase level of difficulty, we can tailor the room to suit children aged 12+ up for a challenge.

  • ✋ Will our group be playing with strangers?

    At Escape This, all bookings are exclusive to your group. This has always been (and will remain to be) our policy before, during and after Covid.


    If you want to be locked in a room with a group of people you have never met before (some people do!) then we recommend you try another escape room experience provider.

  • 🎭 Can we come dressed up?

    You certainly can! If you have ever considered dressing up for your escape room experience we encourage you to do so. The President's Briefcase is set in a world of intrigue, espionage and military uniform. Black suits, dark glasses and earpieces are all the norm here!

  • ⏳ How long will The President's Briefcase Escape Room experience last?

    You'll have 30 minutes from commencement of The President's Briefcase countdown until nuclear detonation. We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time and if you allow for 15 minutes afterwards, to catch your breath and debrief, your whole experience will last up to 60 minutes. You may be one of the lucky ones to escape earlier, in which case your time with us may be shorter.

  • ❓ How many people can play The President's Briefcase at the same time?

    The maximum group size that The President's Briefcase escape room can accomodate is 5 players.


    Our group limits are set to optimise gameplay and ensure a truly immersive experience for all our guests. Fortunately, for you, it is company policy to never compromise on your gameplay experience so these limits are NOT flexible! 

  • 🗣️ What if I don’t speak English fluently?

    Spoken cues and clues are a key element of our escape rooms. Presently, these cues are only available in English, though we are working towards multi-language options. To ensure the best escape experience in the meantime, we recommend that the majority of your player group should be fluent in English.

  • 👍 Is The President's Briefcase a good choice for my first escape room?

    Absolutely, The President's Briefcase is a great choice for first time escapers. We can tailor the diffulty level of the challenge to suit your level of experience.
