A devastating virus has destroyed most of humanity, and the last-ditch efforts by the scientific community to find a cure have borne something far more perilous—a zombie restrained only by an experimental containment chamber. Now, you find yourself locked the very room with this failing containment chamber, with mere inches of steel and glass between you and a dire demise. The zombie is on the brink of breaking free, and your mission is crucial: locate and administer a cure! The stakes are monumental – success could mean salvation for humanity, while failure seals our dark fate.


The last glimmer of hope for humanity rests on your team's shoulders as you unravel enigmatic puzzles, uncover essential clues, and race against the clock to develop a cure.     Zombie Apocalypse has a difficulty rating of 7 out of 10. Bring on the challenge! 


    In Zombie Apocalypse, the clues are generally easy to find, but solving them can be a challenging, while still offering plenty of fun and excitement. 


    Recommended for players who've experienced an escape room before, but still great for beginner-level escapers up for a bit more of a challenge. Learn more about our difficulty levels here.

    The easiest way to book The Zombie Apocalypse is through our online booking widget. 


    Our website shows live availability and all bookings are confirmed immediately. It's the quickest and best way to secure your desired time slot.

  • ✋ Will our group be playing with strangers?

    At Escape This, all bookings are exclusive to your group. This has always been (and will remain to be) our policy before, during and after Covid.


    If you want to be locked in a room with a group of people you have never met before (some people do!) then we recommend you try another escape room experience provider.

  • 💳 Can I book more than one room to start at the same time?

    Absolutely, if you want to book multiple escape rooms, including Asylum, to start at the same time. Please use our multi-room booker


    You will be able to see availablilities, and book accordingly for all the rooms in our Melbourne CBD Escape Room Center.

  • ⏳ How long will the Zombie Apocalypse Escape Room experience last?

    You'll have 45 minutes inside Zombie Apocalypse... so don't get caught! 


    We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time and if you allow for 15 minutes afterwards, to catch your breath and debrief, your whole experience will last up to 75 minutes. 


    You may be one of the lucky ones to escape earlier, in which case your time with us may be shorter.

  • ❓ How many people can play Zombie Apocalypse at the same time?

    The maximum group size that our Zombie Apocalypse escape room can accomodate is 4 people.


    Our group limits are set to optimise gameplay and ensure a truly immersive experience for all our guests. Fortunately for you, it is company policy to never compromise on your gameplay experience so these limits are NOT flexible! 


    If your group is larger than 4 players we suggest that you book multiple rooms to start at the same time and split your group across the rooms. Thus ensuring the very best experience for everyone in your group.

  • 🗣️ What if I don’t speak English fluently?

    Spoken cues and clues are a key element of our escape rooms. Presently, these cues are only available in English, though we are working towards multi-language options. To ensure the best escape experience in the meantime, we recommend that the majority of your player group should be fluent in English.

  • 👍 Is Zombie Apocalypse a good choice for my first escape room?

    First time escapers will find Zombie Apocalypse quite challenging but it remains a very popular choice for first timers. So yes it's a great choice and our gamesmasters will be on hand to offer any extra clues if you need them.

  • 🦺 Are there any health & safety precautions we should know about?

    Like all escape rooms, Zombie Apocalypse is a controlled lighting environment. It may feature periods of complete darkness and/or flashing lights. Similarly, you might experience confined spaces and/or jump scares during your escape. If you have any concerns or questions, please raise these with our Gamesmasters at check-in.
