"30 years to life imprisonment"

"30 years to life imprisonment" declared the sentencing Judge before adjourning the court with a quick, loud bang of his gavel. The only problem... you are innocent of the crime!

Now a prisoner of the maximum security Wattle Hill State Prison, you spend your days running circles in the prison yard and working the prison kitchens, mostly. In what little spare time you have, reading law books in the library and forensically scrutinising your case files is the only thing that keeps you sane; you hold out hope that one day, eventually, you'll uncover the plot that led to your wrongful conviction.

Months pass, maybe even a year, how are you to know in the confines of maximum security... then, eureka! A letter on the Prison Warden's catches your eye while serving him his lunch. You are sure you glimpsed your name in its contents, and it was definitely signed by the lead witness whose testimony was instrumental in your conviction. You suspect foul play!

Tonight when the prison sleeps, can you break free of your prison cell, make it back to the Prison Warden's office, and find that letter? You know this your only real chance at overturning your conviction!

Came for my 11 year olds birthday with 5 of her friends! Hubby and I dropped them in and then went for a walk down the road and enjoyed a quick bite then came back and enjoyed hearing them screaming and laughing! Afterwards they all said it was fun, hard and scary and they wish they had longer there! I am now keen to have a go with some adult mates so will plan to do so in the near future!

This is my 3rd escape room and all have been at different locations. It is definitely the best to date. Really well done and everything does what it is suppose to do. Staff were excellent and friendly. Looking forward to trying another room.

  • 🔐 How hard is the Accused Escape Room?

Accused has a difficulty rating of 7 out of 10. Bring on the challenge! In Accused, the clues are generally easy to find, but solving them can be a challenging, while still offering plenty of fun and excitement. Recommended for players who've experienced an escape room before, but still great for beginner-level escapers up for a bit more of a challenge. Learn more about our difficulty levels here.

  • 🚸 Is the Accused Escape Room suitable for children?

Absolutely! Accused is loved by children and adults alike. It's a great choice for a family outing!

    A few rules though:

    1. We welcome children from age 7 to play as paid participants in a family group, though do recommend 9+ years is more suitable for maximum room engagement and enjoyment.
    2. Groups with children aged 9 and under require a parent or guardian be in the room as a paid participant.
    3. If the group contains children aged 10-13 years, then an adult must remain onsite for the duration of the booking but does not need to accompany the group into the room.
    4. If the whole group is14 and older no adult needs to remain on site.
    5. Children under 3 years old may accompany their parents as spectators in the room, at our discretion, without charge, though they do always count towards the room’s player capacity.

  • 🎫 How do I book the Accused Escape Room?

The simplest way is to check availability and book online here. Our website shows live availability and all bookings are confirmed immediately. It's the quickest and best way to secure your desired time slot.

  • ✋ Will our group be playing with strangers?

At Escape This, all bookings are exclusive to your group. This has always been (and will remain to be) our policy before, during and after Covid.

If you want to be locked in a room with a group of people you have never met before (some people do!) then we recommend you try another escape room experience provider.

  • 💳 Can I book more than one room to start at the same time?

Absolutely, if you want to book multiple escape rooms, including Accused, to start at the same time. Please use our multi room booker to check availability and place a booking.

  • 🎭 Can we come dressed up?

You certainly can! If you have ever considered dressing up for your escape room experience we encourage you to do so.

  • ⏳ How long will the Accused Escape Room experience last?

You'll have one hour from lights out to break free of your jail cell and search the warden's office for the evidence you need. We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time and if you allow for 15 minutes afterwards, to catch your breath and debrief, your whole experience will last up to 90 minutes. You may be one of the lucky ones to escape earlier, in which case your time with us may be shorter.

  • ❓ How many people can play Accused at the same time?

The maximum group size that our Accused escape room can accomodate is 12 people.

Our group limits are set to optimise gameplay and ensure a truly immersive experience for all our guests. Fortunately for you, it is company policy to never compromise on your gameplay experience so these limits are NOT flexible!

If your group is larger than 12 players we suggest that you book multiple rooms to start at the same time and split your group across the rooms. Thus ensuring the very best experience for everyone in your group.

  • 👍 Is Accused a good choice for my first escape room?

First time escapers will find Accused quite challenging but it remains a very popular choice for first timers. So yes it's a great choice and our gamesmasters will be on hand to offer any extra clues if you need them.

  • 🦽 Is Accused a wheelchair accessible room?

Yes! Accused is a wheelchair accessible escape room, and a popular one at that with our wheelchair and limited mobility patrons. Please note a limited number of puzzles may be more challenging or difficult to access from a wheelchair, but as escape rooms are a team game requiring a mix of skills and abilities from team members, this should not affect your enjoyment of our rooms. Please note, Accused is equipped to accommodate no more than one wheelchair per session.
